Talent isn’t rare.

It’s something many people have, in some arena or another, and it can be developed and nurtured over time. While natural talent certainly exists - we’ve all seen prodigies go viral on social media - it’s the combination of talent and effort that produces champions.

Whether you’re an athlete, artist, or entrepreneur, the key to success isn’t just natural ability but the willingness to put in the work. Talent can help you rise, but talent working hard beats everyone else at the table.

Acknowledge your natural gifts.
Lean into them.
And keep doing the work.

If you want to become untouchable in 2023, this is where you start.

  1. Success Requires Closing the Gap: The longer you spend *thinking* about action, the more you’re going to struggle. If you want to be exceptional, it’s time to close the gap between thought and action.

  2. Create Your Midas Touch: You can’t be ordinary and a game-changer at the same time. Connect with your magic and watch yourself rise.

  3. Writing Is Rewriting: Evolution is foundational for people who stay at the top of their field. Are you willing to do what it takes?

  4. Take Off The Brakes: It’s a hard question to swallow, but if you know you’re capable of more…why haven’t you done it yet? It’s time to stop holding yourself back.

1. Read this twice, and soak it in. Are you going to keep avoiding your own potential in 2023?

@drgurner: Reminder: If you avoid even the potential for embarrassment, mistakes, failure, humiliation, or ridicule, you are really avoiding the potential for success. Vow to stick your neck out in 2023. It's worth every bit of ridicule to get the win.

2. We’ve talked about examining your forks of choice, and this is why - these decisions define our lives. Are you making them happen or *letting* them happen to you?

3. Too many people get caught up in planning and never take a single step. Don’t be one of them.

4. Discipline will carry you further than motivation ever could.

5. The world would love for you to stay in a safe little box, but that’s a great way to never achieve your full potential.

6. Stay focused on yourself and just. keep. going.
