Tweets of the Week: November 4, 2022
You can't say you "bet on yourself" and keep playing small.
Actions speak louder than words, and this is especially true for the ultra-successful. These are people who prioritize action even when it’s hard, uncomfortable, or risky.
If you want to join them? It’s time to stop saying things and start doing them.
Forget the excuses.
Forget your limits.
Forget feeling ready.
The life you lead depends on the choices you’re willing to make. Are you going to show up for yourself this week?
Not a paid subscriber? Here’s what you missed this month:
You are the driver—not the car. Learning to position yourself for resilience is a superpower that will carry you far…if you’re willing to do the work.
Calibrate to the risk, not the fear. Not sure how to make that happen? Use my Risk vs. Emotion Framework as your guide.
Success requires closing the gap. Every high-level player has the same 3 traits that build fortunes almost anywhere. This challenge will help you get them on lock.
1. Use your wins as fuel to catapult you forward.
2. Start investing in yourself and watch how fast you’ll rise.
3. Consistency is everything.
4. Momentum doesn’t just “happen” - build it for yourself.
5. Don’t let yourself fall into the trap of default mode.
6. Quitting doesn’t have to be a bad thing if you learn to use it to your advantage.
Conversation Starter:
If you want a quick way to level up, start by matching your environment to your goals. Look at who and what you surround yourself with - are you spending your time and energy on things that are in alignment with where you want to go?
Do a mental check-in, and prepare to do the following:
Cut Ruthlessly. If it isn’t serving you, it’s time to let it go.
Add Deliberately. Don’t wait for things to happen to you - make them happen.
It’s an uncomfortable but essential process, so don’t be afraid to ask yourself the tough questions. Where is there a mismatch between your environment and your goals? What changes can you make to bring things back into alignment?
Thanks again Dr. Gurner! Always look forward to your posts. Have you written any long form on your recent theme line, 'speed of action' / decision?
Cheers,
Thank you Dr Julie. Would you please consider writing about Progress Board and how one can think about it and visualise. This is with your thoughts on this talk with Affliate Summit https://youtu.be/jMF7KT1STEs
