I hear statements like this all the time, and I’m sure you’ve heard them yourself. People who are influential in their seat, and seem to have colleagues, coworkers, or employees that would follow them to the ends of the earth.
There is just something special about that…and many would label it as the person holding some sort of charisma. There is an easy confidence and allure that turns people into believers. People want to be around them, work with them, and be a part of their ventures forward.
…and while the magnetic charisma of well-known leaders and those in business often feels elusive, what I’ve noticed is that there are *so many* ways to contain it. I’ve met with those who are quiet but intense and magnetic…as well as those who are more extroverted and forceful.
What I’ve noticed is that every ambitious person contains their own flavor of magic — but I couldn’t help but start to wonder how many people seem unaware of their own charismatic potential…and keep it stuffed in a box, when it could be propelling their work or business forward with a lot more energy and engagement.
Charisma doesn’t mean changing who you are, it means bringing more of yourself to the forefront in selective ways.
Those who unlock and wield personal charisma have an undeniable influence on others that transforms their sphere and uplevels the world around them. Most people just assume you have charisma or you don’t, but it’s a lot more nuanced than that…so let’s dig into some of the common traits of charisma — and how to bring more of your own to the forefront.
