The most stuck person I ever worked with was a brilliant guy. When I met him, he'd been spinning his wheels for months on what should have been his biggest venture yet. He had already built a successful business, but was in the midst of a transition on the other side of that building. He spoke, absolutely frustrated:
"I’m not sure exactly what I need to do," he said, leaning back in his chair. “I just can’t stop thinking about it.” A powerful guy, needing to position himself for his next act.
He wasn't lazy. He wasn't incompetent. He was stuck - he'd been pushing harder and harder against the same wall, and just didn’t seem to be getting anywhere.
