Throughout the journey, many people are tempted to relentlessly push, not stopping for anyone or anything along the way. But sometimes, a brief moment of recognition can actually add resolve and optimism.
So take a moment this morning, and think…
Check-in on yourself and your work in the past year—how have you changed, and what have you accomplished? And give yourself some credit.
You shouldn’t postpone your celebrations until you’re “done”—if you’re ambitious, you might never be done. There will always be something bigger, something more, or the next thing you’re tackling and focused on.
So take just a few minutes, notice a few wins (even if only in your head)—and appreciate the wins you’ve had. Some big, some smaller.
You did this…and you have all the capacity in the world to keep doing it.
It doesn’t mean you’re done…it means you take a second and recognize what you can do.
Remind yourself of the good stuff, maybe do something nice for yourself, and keep going with a solid shot in the arm. When you take a moment to look at what you’ve done so far, it’s probably great proof that there’s so much more potential ahead.
Man, taking inventory of good stuff is so easy yet so neglected. Why do we struggle with this? There is no shame, and only power, in gathering the good experiences and using them as fuel. Let’s normalize this. Any perhaps just look at this last week. A year to reflect on sounds a little bit like a movie plot. The last 7 days contains plenty of juice 💪🏼
Thanks for the book recommendation!
