As we approach the official start of winter in the northern hemisphere, and the shortest day of the year, I want to give some solid advice. Check yourself. Are you doing okay?… and if you’re struggling with something - reach out. Even if just a text to connect, have coffee with a friend, and reset your headspace a bit.
And if you’re doing well? Reach out to one of your friends and just check in on them casually. Wish them well and touch base.
This can be a tough part of the year for a lot of people for a myriad of reasons. The end of the year, business challenges, holidays, finances, etc.. can bring up a lot for people, and the weather can be bleak as well.
You never know who needs that text…and if it’s you? Tackle your obstacles head on. You might not see it today, but you’ll be glad you did in the years to come.
From your finances to your skills or your health — don’t wait to take action. Get what you need to sharpen your axe, and keep on swinging.
The celebrating your wins part is so easy to overlook. There have been so many times when I’ve actually sat down to write my wins and that list ends up being much bigger than I thought
