There’s a question I’ll ask people from time to time, and it’s usually a variation of:

“If you were to go back in time when you were 18 years old, and meet a man/woman worth $50m or $150m (or whatever their net worth), what would you expect them to be like?”

The funny thing? It’s usually not the image they see in the mirror.

We don’t expect that incredibly successful people would be like we are…and that’s sometimes true even for people who command that net worth or greater. In reality, the most successful person you can envision is likely somewhat similar to who you are aside from one key difference: they decided to play big games.

People who reach the top aren’t afraid to step into the ring – to *try* for something – and regardless of what that something is, it resulted in them doing quite well…sometimes far better than even they could have imagined it to be.

The worst thing someone can do is not even attempt the thing they wish for. The second worst is to attempt it half-heartedly.

What I have noticed is that a lot of people protect themselves from hard falls or failure by taking themselves out of the game entirely...when they had the ability to win big all along.

Let’s talk about the games you could win…that you just don’t play, and how to overcome the mental barriers that hold most people back, to get the life you truly want.
