People are far more capable than they imagine.
Some will exceed their wildest expectations, while others hold all the potential in the world and never seem to get far off the blocks.
While there are a lot of reasons why this happens, one element that pulls so many off course is ineffective focus. The ability to find something, focus on it, and really push it forward…and that type of focus and commitment is just for the beginners. It might get the ball rolling, but alone, it’s not going to be the fire that will light the entire way to big targets ahead. It only goes so far.
Most people talk about focus as a singular concept, but it’s not. It changes as your journey does, and how you keep your laser focus has to continue to evolve or you’ll fall off track at various points.
Beginners require one type of focus, builders require another, and seasoned execs/experienced founders/CEOs require yet another still.
Being able to tap into this kind of focus over the lifespan of your career will make you elite, but it will require of you. Your headspace isn’t fixed, the way you direct your focus can’t be fixed, and you’ll have to shift how you use your focus to get where you need to be.
Focus is a tool that most don’t know how to fully use to really scale to the biggest positions and goals of their life. You can’t stay at beginner level, and that’s what everyone preaches. Here are the foundational items to set you up for exceptional focus, and the evolutionary path it will take.
