Staying objective is a vital skill to master, but it can also be incredibly difficult. You have to step outside of yourself, your ego, outside your comfort zone, and try to acknowledge truths (no matter how undesirable), to try to view every situation without bias.

This will require an open and curious mind that questions everything.

Even when you don’t want to.

Especially when you don’t want to.

You have to actively choose to challenge your ego, your biases, push yourself to stay curious, and sit with discomfort in your pursuit of knowledge.

Not everyone can or will do this, but those who keep at it — and use this information to continue to move themselves and their companies forward — often end up ahead of the curve.
