Any standard (or lack thereof), consistently held, becomes culture.
What is the standard you’re setting? It all starts with expectations. What do you expect for yourself, your team, the people you work with? Are those expectations high, or are they “settling” for whatever gets the job done?
Average & Mediocre vs Extraordinary & Exceptional
We all know when we experience each of these. At hotels, at the grocery store, and even when you order something online: everywhere you go, people are leaving their own stamp in the world—and you are leaving your stamp too.
What’s the bar you are holding? Do you have one? Should you raise it?
What things are you consistent about in how you move in the world, in your leadership or expectations? What is the culture and standard that you are creating?
Take a moment today to think about the bar you hold, the expectations you have, and the message they send—both to yourself, and anyone you do business with.
Consider making one tweak to raise these just a bit. Start with one thing you do today.
Raising the bar isn’t about perfection, it’s about seeing greater possibility. The lower your bar, the lower your own potential. Keep kicking that bar up a notch.
Expect more and you’ll rise to meet it.
1. Your systems run your life—make sure it's in your favor.
2. Never let anyone tell you what is and isn't possible.
3. Choose success. Choose to be great. Choose today to make it happen.
