Our lives are filled with distractions. They exist in every corner of our lives: emails, notifications, and countless, endless to-do lists. And that’s just at work.
There are also distractions at home—things that need to be done, commitments you make, demands on your time and headspace.
There’s a lot of noise, a lot of things pulling at you—and you need to be able to tune in to what really matters…wherever it is.
Whether at home or at work, you want to be able to focus - to be a good spouse, or to be great at what you do during the workday. Both will demand of you.
To be productive in your role, and still have that time for any personal life—you have to carve out and protect your ability to be productive.
Your ability to get things done, undistracted, cut through the noise and *be focused* can help cut that feeling of being endlessly busy. There’s a cognitive cost to constantly being pulled at…and there’s also the cost of never getting as much done as you need to, to be as effective as you know you can be.
So in the week ahead? Set boundaries. Say no to those extra commitments. Put away the phone and silence the noise.
In a world of distractions, your focus isn’t just an advantage. It’s a superpower. Train it, protect it, use it. Time to move beyond the noise.
