The most successful people I’ve ever sat with have told me the same things that some of the earliest founders have said as well:
“I know I’m capable of more.”
If you are reading this newsletter, I bet you know this too. In your job, in your career, in your personal life - deep down you likely know you’re capable of more - something better, and you live with that knowledge every day.
Showing yourself what you can do is one heck of a drug…but it’s also a pill that tends to sit on the counter for a lot of people. They look at it regularly, think about it, and then go about their lives knowing that their company could be a game changer, their career could reach the next level, or their personal lives could be far more fulfilling.
What stops it from happening? You.
You’re not lazy. In fact, you’re probably the opposite - and it is likely incredibly frustrating. To me, carrying frustration is actually a good sign and a sort of signal. It means you have the knowledge of where you can be, what you’re capable of, and a part of you is craving more than where you’re at.
If you want to get this solved, then it’s time to take off the brakes. No more hesitation, no more slowing yourself down, no more passivity, or playing around. This is your future. Instead, you need to lean in - actually see what you can do - and pour yourself into action that will help you rise.
We’ve talked about shifting levels in the past, and this is one of those opportunities.
Let’s dive in.
